Jessie Jagger welcomes dedicated family facilities at this year’s Worcester Show

Liberal Democrat Councillor Jessie Jagger has welcomed improvements for families attending this year’s Worcester Show, after organisers confirmed there will be a dedicated feeding area alongside baby changing facilities.

Last year, after attending the Show with her baby daughter, Cllr Jagger found it difficult to feed her comfortably.

“It was a really hot day and I couldn’t find a quiet, private space to breastfeed, so I ended up standing in the corner of one of the marquees. People kept looking over, trying to work out what I was doing, and my daughter became so distracted that she just wouldn’t feed.”

Organisers have confirmed that this year’s Show will once again have baby changing tables in the portable toilets, as well as a dedicated feeding area in a gazebo within the quiet area.

Cllr Jagger said: “Having a dedicated place where parents can feed their babies comfortably will make such a difference. Looking after a baby at a busy event can be challenging enough without trying to find somewhere suitable to feed.

“I’m really pleased the organisers have introduced a dedicated feeding area. It’s a thoughtful addition that will help make the Worcester Show an even more welcoming event for families with young children.”
