Worcester

Be Our Candidate for MP in Worcester

Worcester is a key battleground constituency in the West Midlands, with a long history of close electoral contests and changing political representation.

The constituency centres on the city of Worcester, alongside surrounding suburban communities and nearby villages. It is a diverse and evolving area, combining a historic city centre with growing residential developments and expanding commuter links.

Key local issues include pressures on the Worcestershire Royal Hospital and wider NHS services, ongoing flooding risks from the River Severn, and the need for improved flood defences in light of climate change. Residents are also concerned about housing affordability, particularly for younger people and families, alongside the impact of new developments on infrastructure.

The city centre economy faces challenges from changing retail habits, with a need to support local businesses and revitalise high streets. Transport and congestion, including public transport reliability and road capacity, remain significant concerns. In addition, there are ongoing issues around access to SEND support, school place availability, and ensuring strong educational outcomes across the constituency.

This is an exciting and competitive constituency in which to campaign. We are seeking a positive, visible and energetic candidate who can build on local momentum, connect with residents, and lead a strong campaign capable of winning.

  1. Finance the deposit,
  2. Commit to an agreed level of campaigning,

  6. Work with the candidate to maintain and grow local party membership,
  7. Work with the candidate to produce effective and targeted campaign materials,
